Clearinghouse CDFI staff had the opportunity to volunteer at The Coastkeeper Garden this spring in Orange, CA. The 2.5 acre sustainable garden features California-native and drought-tolerant plants. Our volunteers got to exercise their green thumbs by helping with garden upkeep and learning how to transition their own backyards from high water use landscapes to less traditional gardens that are drought-friendly in the Southern California heat.
