Clearinghouse CDFI (CCDFI) provided a $687,100 loan to Joshua Tree Home, Inc. (JTH) for the acquisition and renovation of a residential property located in a low-income area of Palo Alto, CA.
Palo Alto is home to nearly 500 people with developmental disabilities. Of that adult population, 75% must live at home with aging parents due to lack of housing options. Financing provided by CCDFI will support the renovation of a residential property to accommodate residents with behavioral disabilities. Caregivers who specialize in assisting individuals with behavioral disabilities will be available to residents of the property 24/7.
JTH develops and manages assisted Enhanced Behavioral Support Homes through the California Community Placement Program (CPP) for developmentally disabled adults. JTH is working with Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) for the second time under a CPP Housing Agreement. GGRC is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.
