David Brower Center

The David Brower Center in downtown Berkeley is a community gathering place designed to inspire and nurture environmental leaders and build a foundation for future generations. A key component of sustainable mixed-use development, it includes a unique collection of eco-friendly retail stores and restaurants, environmental organizations, conference spaces, and affordable workforce housing near public transit.

Clearinghouse CDFI provided $12.5 million of New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation for the transformation of a one-acre parking lot into the stunning David Brower Center.
