Clearinghouse CDFI (CCDFI) provided a $137,680 loan to Hogar Hispano, Inc., supporting an innovative project in Dallas, TX. This funding aids in the purchase and rehabilitation of foreclosed homes, directly targeting the stabilization and revitalization of neighborhoods in underserved communities.
Dallas, like in many urban areas, demonstrates a pressing need for affordable housing and community enhancement, especially for low to moderate-income families and individuals of color. Hogar Hispano addresses this need by rehabilitating homes while building and preserving wealth within these communities. CCDFI’s financing allows for a cash-out to the borrower who initially purchased foreclosed properties using personal funds. This loan facilitates the rehabilitation of these properties into affordable housing and revitalizes the Dallas neighborhood.
Hogar Hispano works to eliminate barriers to housing opportunities, enhance access to capital, stimulate economic growth, and create sustainable business and community development opportunities for Black and Latino communities. The HHI team works tirelessly to eradicate homeownership barriers and enhance access to economic solvency for these historically underserved individuals and families.
