$10 Million of NMTC Allocation Creates New Public Library / City Hub
CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE: The Mesquite Library underwent an extensive facilities expansion and technology revitalization thanks to $10 million of NMTCs from Clearinghouse CDFI. Construction of a new Mesquite Library Branch and renovation of the existing facility into an auxiliary learning center created a city hub for learning, careers, and community events.
Now complete, the Mesquite Library offers free public access to technology and services benefiting the surrounding low-income community. Based on four core tenets—Limitless Learning, Business and Career Success, Government and Social Services, and Community and Culture—the Mesquite Library services will include:

The 16,000 sq. ft. Mesquite Library incorporates green building practices and is LEED “Silver” Certified. Chase bank was was the tax credit equity investor.
