$1.83 Million in Financing for Rehabilitation of 100+ Year Old Historic Building into Vibrant Community Space
This historic three-story building is located in downtown El Centro and was originally erected in 1912. Formerly a masonic temple, it has remained vacant since the 1990s.
Clearinghouse CDFI provided $1.83MM in financing for Numa Incorporated to rehabilitate the abandoned, 100+ year old building into a functioning community space. This will include an event center, restaurants, and office space.
Once restored, the new community space will serve over 80,000 individuals annually, 50% of which will consist of low-income families. This project will generate 60 construction jobs and 20 full-time jobs.
