SHIELDS Housing Corporation

SHIELDS Housing Corporation is a nonprofit organization that provides healthcare, counseling, and education services to extremely at-risk individuals in the low-income area of Lynwood, CA.

SHIELDS also provides an after-school program for children and services for women and children in relation to pregnancy, child care, health, and abuse.

Clearinghouse CDFI’s long-term financing for this project was made possible through $100 million in bond funds Clearinghouse CDFI recently received through the U.S. Treasury’s CDFI Bond Guarantee Program.
